The Young Men Social Club got a taste of what Premier Division Football is about when they took on the Devonshire Cougars in their FA Challenge Cup Quarter-Final at the PHC Stadium.
The opening goal came in the 30th minute when Jordan Darrell scored, that 1 – 0 lead would hold up until the 61st minute when Darrell scored his and his team’s second goal of the game. Devonshire Cougars substitute Lamont Brangman then joined the scoring party when he hit the back of the net on the 75th minute, Brangman would make it 4 – 0 when he scored his second of the game in the 81st minute, he would then close out the scoring and completing his hat-trick with a goal in the 90th minute.
PHC Zebras 5 Southampton Rangers 1
At the PHC Stadium, the Southampton Rangers scored first in the 11th minute through a Jahkai Dyer, however the PHC Zebras were level in the 31st minute when Jaavaid Warren-Smith found the back of the net, Warren-Smith would then give the PHC Zebras the lead in the 50th minute. Cecoy Robinson would make it 3 – 1 to the PHC Zebras when he scored in the 62nd minute and three minutes later it was 4 – 1 when Robinson scored his second, the final goal of the game came late on when Marquel Waldron scored to send the PHC Zebras into the FA Challenge Cup Semi-Final draw.
Hamilton Parish 2 Robin Hood 2
At the Wellington Oval, Hamilton Parish and Robin Hood will have to do it all over again after their 2 – 2 draw. Jason Titterton gave Robin Hood the lead in the 17th minute, the lead was doubled in the 31st minute when Tre Dill found the back of the net. Hamilton Parish would get back in the match in the 42nd minute when Tareek Webb scored and when Chris Caisey scored in the 76th minute it drew the teams level at 2 – 2 and it will need another match to decide a winner.
Dandy Town Hornets 5 Boulevard Blazers 1
At the St. John’s Field, the Dandy Town Hornets advanced to the Semi-Finals with a 5 – 1 win over the Boulevard Blazers. The Dandy Town Hornets got an own goal and single strikes from Lynn Tucker, Quadir Maynard, Jahtino Richardson Martin and Tomeko Goater. Sergio Robinson scored the lone goal for the Boulevard Blazers.
