Nahki Wells – Huddersfield


James Wilson hit a second-half winner as Brighton climbed to third place in the Sky Bet Championship with a 2-1 home victory over Nahki Wells and his 10-man Huddersfield teammates.

Bobby Zamora put Albion on their way to a first home win in four games before Harry Bunn levelled in first-half stoppage time.

French right winger Anthony Knockaert was outstanding on his home debut and set up both goals before a crowd of 25,367 at the Amex Stadium.

Brighton midfielder Beram Kayal received a booking for hauling down the onrushing Wells and the resulting free-kick from Emyr Huws was saved easily by keeper David Stockdale.

English League One

Rai Simons – Chesterfield


Rai Simons watched from the bench and Millwall kept up their promotion push with a 2-1 victory at the Proact Stadium to leave Chesterfield in relegation trouble.

Although the home side went in front through Sam Morsy, Aiden O'Brien quickly equalized and Lee Gregory hit the winner early in the second half.










English League Two

Reggie Lambe – Mansfield


Struggling Luton ended their four-game goal drought with early strikes in each half to wrap up a first win for new manager Nathan Jones as they beat Reggie Lambe and his play-off chasing Mansfield teammates 2 - 0.

Luton had never won a league game at Mansfield but were given a boost as the Stags went behind to an early goal for the fifth time in six home games.

Matt Green and Krystian Pearce were too high and Reggie Lambe who only played 59 minutes and Chris Clements shot straight at Elliot Justham as Luton defended solidly against a home side enjoying much of the first-half possession.

Jonte Smith – Lewes


Lewes Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of former Crawley Town and current Bermuda international striker Jonté Smith for the rest of the season.

Smith, 21, was last season plying his trade in Scandinavia – for the Finnish First Division side PS Kemi Kings where he scored 22 goals in 25 appearances and also Norwegian outfit Flekkerøy Idrettslag.

Making his debut in from of a crowd of 401, Smith was able to score twice to help Lewes to their 4th win of the season recording a 3 – 1 win over the Canvey Island.4

Lewes are routed at the bottom of the Ryman Premier League, Smith’s goals came in the 31st and 84th minutes of the match.
