At the Devonshire Recreation Club the Devonshire Cougars advanced to the next round of the FA Challenge Cup with a 4 – 1 victory over the St. George’s Colts.
Chae Brangman gave the home team the lead in the 11th minute, three minutes later it was 2 – 0 when Brangman scored his second goal of the game. The St. George’s Colts would pull within one in the 36th minute when Jarreau Hayward scored, the two teams went to the break with the score 2 – 1.
Five minutes into the second half the Devonshire Cougars two goal lead was restored when Mark Steede scored, Steede would then make it 4 – 1 to the Devonshire Cougars in the 65th minute earning them a spot in the next draw.
Meanwhile the Bermuda Football Association announced the replay of the F.A. Challenge Cup between the Flanagan’s Onions and Southampton Rangers has been scheduled for Wednesday January 20th with a kickoff time of 9:00pm at the BAA Field.
