Dante Leverock and his Harrisburg City Islanders teammates fell 5-1 to Louisville FC and took a step back in their push for the playoffs at Skyline Sports Complex.
Harrisburg came out flat on both ends of the pitch and it cost them dearly. Matt Fondy, Louisville’s leading scorer punched home four goals, three in the first half, to knock the Islanders out of the game before they could even get going.
The loss keeps Harrisburg stagnant in the standings and still one spot out of the playoffs while Louisville gets the three points to creep even closer to league leading Rochester for first place in the East.
