Well-taken goals by Nahki Wells, Jacob Butterfield and Joe Lolley meant Huddersfield Town got their pre-season schedule off to a winning start at Guiseley.
Last season's top scorer Wells and player of the year Butterfield both scored with neat low shots to put Chris Powell's side in control at Nethermoor.
Nicky Boshell pulled one back for the National League top-flight newcomers in the stroke of half-time to keep things interesting.
But Lolley lashed home a spectacular angled late effort to seal victory in what was a good work-out for both teams.
