FIFA.com has confirmed Bermuda’s matches against Guatemala in the 2018 Russia FIFA World Cup CONCACAF Qualifiers Second Round for June 2015.
According to the FIFA .com website as reported by Islandstats.com yesterday, Bermuda will face Guatemala in Guatemala on Friday June 12th with an 8pm kick-off.
The return leg will be played at the National Sports Center on Monday June 15th with a 5pm kick-off.
Bermuda in the latest FIFA Rankings is now up to 129th in the World. This follows a Draw and Win against Grenada and back to back wins over the Bahamas.
Bermuda began the year ranked 217th by FIFA, but have leaped the 89 spots just by playing matches, winning has also helped.
Although the Bermuda Football Association has yet to confirm if Bermuda will play any warm-up matches prior, Islandstats.com can reveal that 90th ranked Guatemala have already been active playing several practice matches.
They went down 1 – 0 to 114th ranked Canada before drawing 0 – 0 against 84th ranked El Salvador.
Six day before meeting Bermuda they will play 8th ranked Uruguay in a Friendly match.
