Having grabbed the headlines as hero at Egham Town, goalkeeper Tahj Bell was the unfortunate villain as Aylesbury United fell to a 3-0 home defeat to St Ives Town.
A decent start by Aylesbury came to nothing as the visitors were first gifted an opener when Bell misjudged a free-kick, and then had a free goal to shoot into after the Bermudian vacated his goal trying to cut out a passing move, as St Ives Town took a two-goal lead to the interval.
United worked hard trying to find a way back into the match, but their task was made more difficult when striker Jason Blackett was sent off two minutes after entering the field as a substitute.
Their afternoon went from bad to worse when a routine backpass bobbled as Bell tried to clear, agonizingly rolling over the line for a terrible own goal and a third for St Ives on a horrible afternoon for the goalkeeper and his team.
