Tuff Dogs 2 North Village Rams 4
At the BAA Field, the North Village Rams got goals from Ralph Bean Jr., Javon Washington, Jawan Thomas and Aljame Zuill as they defeated the Corona League Defending Champions Tuff Dogs 4 – 2 to open the 2014/15 Corona League Season.
Kevin Hurdle and Jeff Franklin scored for the Tuff Dogs, who were level at 2 – 2 with just ten minutes to go.
FIRST DIVISION
Wolves 0 Devonshire Colts 4 Wolves and Devonshire Colts Action At the Devonshire Rec. the Devonshire Colts went to the top of the Division with a 4 - 0 win over Wolves. Eli Smith gave the Devonshire Colts the lead in the 28th minute, Kyle Jones doubled the lead in the 41st minute as the Devonshire Colts took a 2 – 0 lead into the break.
Jones scored his second goal of the game when his shot was deflected and ballooned over the goalkeeper and into the back of the net, a cross from the right saw Jones complete his hat-trick. A collision between a Devonshire Colts player and a Wolves player as well as the Wolves goalkeeper saw the ball drop to the keep of Jones who made no mistake from close range.
PREMIER DIVISION
Devonshire Cougars 0 Hamilton Parish 0 Devonshire Cougars and Hamilton Parish Action At the Devonshire Rec. the home team came close to breaking the deadlock midway through the first half, when Hamilton Parish goalkeeper Nigel Burgess made a pin point save from some six yards out, however neither Devonshire Cougars nor Hamilton Parish was able to beat the opposing goalkeeper in their 0-0 draw.
PREMIER DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE
BAA 2 St. George’s Colts 2
At the BFA Field this Premier Development Team match between BAA and St. George’s Colts ended with a spectator going to the hospital following an altercation.
After a scoreless first half Kolours Wolffe-Madeiros gave BAA the lead in the 48th minute, but two minutes later the St. George’s Colts were level when Kontai Burton scored.
In the 59th minute BAA went back in front when Akim Johnston scored, but in the 74th minute Burton scored again as the two teams played to a 2 – 2 draw.
Following the game an altercation erupted between spectators and players that resulted in a fan needing to go to the Hospital for observation.
