Braxton Stowe and his Saint Louis University Men’s Baseball teammates fell to Miami (OH) 9-7 in the series finale on Sunday.
Stowe and his teammates left Hoover, Ala., with a 2-2 record, they opened the season with a victory on Friday and then they split the doubleheader on Saturday.
Stowe would make his first appearance of the season as a Pinch Hitter, he was walked and scored a run.
Shane Benes drove in his fourth RBI on the weekend when he doubled home two Saint Louis University teammates in the sixth inning.
Saint Louis sparked a ninth inning rally, starting with a Cam Redding two-RBI double, cutting the Miami (OH) lead to 9-4. Zach Frieling then hit an RBI single, bringing the Saint Louis University within four.
Two wild pitches brought in another pair of runs, but Miami (OH) was able to close out the inning with a final score of 9-7.
Corrigan Bartlett led the Saint Louis University with a .308 average in the series, adding three runs scored and three RBIs. He also nabbed one stolen base on the weekend.
Ben Livorsi hit for a .300 average, adding four walks, two runs scored and two RBIs.
Redding was successful in both of his pinch hit attempts on the weekend, going 2-2, driving in three runs and scoring one.
