Braxton Stowe and his Saint Louis Men’s Baseball teammates defeated Fordham 4-1 on Friday morning, bringing their A-10 record to 6-6 on the year.
Cody Luther was dominant, yet again, on the mound for Saint Louis, throwing 8.0 innings, allowing one run on four hits and tying a career-high with 11 strikeouts. Coming off of a no-hitter last Saturday, Luther surrendered his first hit in 41 batters faced in the third inning against the Rams. He improved his 2019 record to 6-2.
Ryan Lefner recorded his second save of the series and third on the season on Friday, increasing his Saint Louis record to 24 career saves. He struck out two batters in his one inning of work.
Seven of the nine Saint Louis starters recorded a hit in the victory, including Stowe going 2-4 with an RBI.
Stowe made 4 Plate Appearances, having 2 hits and 1 Run Batted In, he would also record 4 Put Outs and 1 Assist.
