Braxton Stowe and his Saint Louis Baseball teammates fell 9-4 to Creighton, putting them at 6-9 on the season.
Luke Matheny made his first start since opening weekend in late February. He went 5.1 innings, giving up one earned run on six hits and struck out four.
Freshmen Grant Fremion and Ryan Patel each threw a scoreless inning of relief. Fremion gave up no hits while striking out one, and Patel surrendered just one hit, striking out two.
At the plate, Jake Garella and Zach Frieling each had three-hit games. Garella went 3-4 including two doubles, with one RBI, one run and one walk. Frieling finished the afternoon 3-5 with two runs scored.
Stowe was used as a Pinch Hitter and then First Base, had 1 at Bat and struck Out.
