Naim Azhar IslandStats.com Gavin Manders, Sam Maybury, Romar Douglas, and Naim Azhar attended the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) International Coaching Symposium and PTR Championships.
The Bermuda Group were able to meet and listen to some of the top Tennis minds in the world talk about their experience and learn from their teaching methods.
It was a full week of presentations and continued Education Classes in every area of the field which will allow us to bring this knowledge back and share it with the Bermuda Tennis Community.

Nick Bolleteri Judy Murray Amelio Sanchez Vicario Nick Saviano Gigi Fernandez Frank Giampaolo Craig O’Shanesssy Dr. Mark Kovacs The PTR Championships saw all of the Open Divisions money events, so the level was high, and very competitive. The event was a Universal Tennis Rating event.
Manders was seeded 4th in the Open Singles and 2nd in the Open Doubles with Azhar.
After both players had byes in the First Round, Ahzar managed to defeat the number 3 seed Luke Whiteside in the Quarter-Finals, however Manders lost in his Quarter-Final match to Michael-Ray Pollares-Gonzalez from Dominican Republic.
Then Manders and Ahzar lost in their Semi-Final of the Open Doubles to Pollares-Gonzalez and Garret Leal 6-3, 2-6, 10-8.
Ahzar went on to win the Open Mixed Doubles with his Assistant Pro Niri Rasolomalala from Nspire Academies - his academy in Atlanta 6-1 6-1.
