Trey Mallory began competing in the Curacao Open, playing in the Boy’s Singles 18 Division Mallory is ranked 8th.
In his First Round match Mallory advanced after defeating Julian Desousa from the Netherlands in straight sets 7-6, 6-4.
Mallory would then take on Nicholas Gore from Jamaica in his Second Round match, Mallory would have to dig deep and come from a set down to advance.
Gore won the First Set 6-0, Gore would win the first game of the Second Set, before Mallory changed the flow and would level the match at 1 – 1 when he won six of the next eight games to win the set 6-3.
In the Third and Final Set Mallory would win 6-3 to move onto the Quarter-Final Round.
