It was an upset on Day One of the Bermuda Lawn Tennis Association’s Christmas Double Elimination Tournament as Dylan Powell defeated the number one seed David Thomas 6-1, 6-4.
Earlier in the day Powell defeated Nicholas Butterfield 6-0, 6-2, while James Finnigan defeated Amir Thomas 6-0, 6-0. In evening action Billy Boyle defeated Scott Redmond 6-2, 6-0and Trey Mallory defeated William Way 6-3, 7-5.
