The Bermuda Lawn Tennis Association’s Final Day of the Fall Championships took place at the W.E.R. Joell Tennis Stadium.
In a battle to see who would be crowned the Men’s 2016 Singles #1 saw Gavin Manders defeat Sam Butler in the Men’s Final 6-4, 6-2, coming from 4-3 down in the first set to win the next three games to take the first set.
Manders had another excellent year, breaking an historic international singles record, winning the last tennis tournament of the year and earning the #1 Men's Singles Title for the year 2016.
Meanwhile Ashley Brooks defeated Shelby Madeiros in the Women’s Final to be named Bermuda's #1 Ladies Singles Champion.
Brooks who just recently returned to a sport she began to dominate years ago before taking a break due to injury won all the Ladies Singles Titles in 2016.
In the Women’s B Singles Final Isabelle Pelletier defeated Shelby Madeiros in straight sets 6-4, 6-2.
