Coral Beach & Tennis Club announced that local entry forms are now being accepted for the 2016 Bermuda National Clay Court Championships.
The tournament, sponsored by Moët & Chandon, has been sanctioned by the Bermuda Lawn Tennis Association (BLTA) and recognized by the United States Tennis Association (USTA), making players eligible for tournament points. The tournament is the highlight of the Coral Beach Club’s tennis calendar, and takes place on the Club’s eight clay courts from Sunday, October 23rd to Saturday, October 29th, 2016.
This year’s tournament features a new format. With many top players from Bermuda and around the world taking part, the tournament will feature a “Performance” category for professionals and top amateurs, and an “Open” category for strong club players. In addition, the tournament’s popular age group categories are also featured, along with the Open Mixed Doubles and the most sought-after Century Mixed Doubles event as well.
The tournament would not be complete without its social aspect. A full slate of dinners and cocktail parties are planned, culminating with the Gala Awards Dinner on Saturday, October 29th 2016 in The Coral Dining Room.
