Two of the Three Bermuda 14 & Under Jitic (Junior International Tennis Championships players took to the courts as the Caribbean and Central America) in El Salvador continued.
Benjamin Jones went down to Adam Ramkisoon of Trinidad 7-6 (5), 6-1, Jones played an excellent first set. Matching his opponent shot for shot. The set stayed on serve until the eleventh game when Ramkisoon broke Jones to go up 6-5. Jones immediately broke back to level the score at 6-6 and force a tie-break.
A few loose points by Jones resulted in Ramkisoon winning the tie-breaker (7-5). In the second set Jones's footwork let him down as his intensity level dropped losing the second set 6-1.
In the Girls Division Shelby Madeiros lost to Damaris Arevalo of El Salvador.
Madeiros went down 6-4 in the first set. As the second set remained on serve Madeiros got broken late to go down 5-4. Madeiros then played a great service game to tie it at 5-5. Madeiros dug down deep to then break Arevalo's serve to go up 6-5 with a huge backhand cross court. Arevalo herself then played a steady game and broke Madeiros back to tie set at 6-6. A few unforced errors cost Madeiros in the tie-break which she lost (7-3).
