Sussex 2nd XI 382 & 177/3 Declared - Derbyshire 2nd XI 275/8 Declared & 270/6
Delray Rawlins and his Sussex Seconds teammates drew their 2nd XI 3 Day Friendly with Derbyshire, this match was due to start Monday, but the day was washed out and the two teams agreed to start the match on Tuesday.
Sussex resumed their second inning on 50/0 and declared on 177/3 adding 127 runs to set Derby shire a total of 284 for victory, but they could only manage 270/6 when play came to an end.
In the Sussex Inning opener H Ward was the top scorer with 72, while J Ludlow added 54, Rawlins scored 15 from 7 balls hitting 2 fours and 1 six, Hamidullah Qadri was once again the pick of the Derbyshire bowlers with figures of 6-0-32-2.
Derbyshire would take up the challenge, but fell 14 runs short of their target ARI Umeed followed up his century in the first inning with a second one in the second inning scoring 101. William Beer was the pick of the Sussex bowlers with figures of 7-1-29-2, while Rawlins bowled 20-2-79-2.
