MCC Win By an innings and 34 runs
It was always going to be a tall order for Essex heading into the penultimate day’s play of the Champion County match but it was Delray Rawlins and his MCC teammates who were victorious by an innings and 34 runs in Barbados.
Some heavy rainfall over the Kensington Oval did it’s best to delay proceedings and maybe give the County Champions a glimmer of hope that the match could head into a fourth and final day. However, it wasn’t to be.
Essex were bowled out for a second time in the game for 187, Tom Westley was the top scorer with 62, while Dom Bess led the MCC bowling attack with figures of 18-2-51-6.
