The Bermuda Development Team won their opening Tour match of Canada defeating the Canadian High Performance team by 1 run.
Batting first after winning the toss in a reduced to 32 overs match the Bermuda Development Team scored 201/6, with Janeiro Tucker leading the way with 71 not out from 47 deliveries, Tucker hit 7 sixes and 3 fours. Kamau Leverock who opened the inning with captain Terryn Fray scored 38 from 32 which included 6 fours, Charles Trott scored 30 from 36, with 2 fours and 2 sixes and Okera Bascome was not out on 22 from 10, hitting 3 fours. Rishiv Joshi was the pick of the Canada High Performance bowlers with figures of 7-1-37-3.
In reply Canada’s High Performance team fell one run short after needing 11 off the final over, they scored 200/8, Harsh Thaker was their top scorer with 63, while Trott was the pick of the Bermuda bowlers with figures of 7-1-30-2 and Chare Smith bowled 7-0-36-2.
