Premier Michael Dunkley crashed out of the Bermuda Cricket Board’s Hiscox Under 11 Celebrity Cricket Match at the National Sports Center.
The Premier and Opposition Leader David Burt opened the inning for the Celebrities looking for their first victory in eight years.
In the first over with the Premier on strike a ball down the legside saw the batsmen cross for one, with the Premier calling for the second run, but soon found himself struggling to make his ground, eventually he lost his footing and dove to make his ground, but in doing so he broke his stumps when his bat slid into the stumps.
The Premier clearing from the incident was bleeding from his right hand and elbow, but it also appeared that he pulled or has strained his hamstring, with him leaving the field immediately for treatment, he did return to the ground, but only to take part in the presentation, sporting a bandaged hand and gingerly walking.
