Delray Rawlins and his Sussex Seconds teammates made it five wins out of six in this season's T20 competition after sharing the spoils with Surrey in their double-header at New Malden Cricket Club.
Sussex won the first game by eight wickets after Ajmal Shahzad (3-29), Ollie Robinson (2-17) and Rawlins (2-19) helped dismiss the hosts for 111. Angus Robson led a successful chase with 59 off 45 balls including eight fours and a six and Phil Salt scored 27 before Laurie Evans, returning to action after injury, hit four boundaries in an unbeaten 20 from 22 deliveries.
Surrey gained revenge in the second match which they won by eight wickets. Ollie Pope hit an undefeated 80 for the hosts after they had dismissed Sussex for 136. Robson made 35 (27 balls) and Rawlins 39 but only Jonty Jenner, who scored 23, got into double figures down the order.
