Delray Rawlins and his Sussex teammates began their Specsavers County Championship match against Nottinghamshire.
Nottinghamshire batted first on a day that saw the match stop and start, they were all out for 447 after 77.5 overs, they recovered from 88/5, thanks in part to Mattheus Wessels who scored 202 not out off 245 balls. England’s Stuart Broad assisted with 57.
Steven Magoffin was the pick of the Sussex bowlers with figures of 18-7-51-5, while Rawlins bowled 3-0-7-0.
In reply when play came to an end, Sussex were 11/3 after just 6 overs, Rawlins is at the wicket yet to get off the mark having faced 12 deliveries.
