Delray Rawlins teammates Danny Briggs and Harry Finch were the stars for the Sussex on the final day of the three-day friendly match with Surrey at The 1st Central County Ground, Hove.
The two sides agreed to bat for 45 overs each on the final day of this affair and it was Sussex who took to the crease first this morning.
The hosts lost opener Phil Salt with the score still on 0 but Finch and Rawlins who scored 39 put on 91 for the second wicket before the latter fell to the spin of Surrey skipper Gareth Batty.
Finch went on to top-score with 63 before also departing to spin, this time Amar Virdi the wicket-taker, whilst Laurie Evans made 13 when he became victim to Stuart Meaker.
Jofra Archer scored 44 not out and Ollie Robinson was on 34 not out, both showed their abilities with the bat once again as they put on an unbroken stand of 58 to take Sussex through to a final score of 196/6 from their 45 overs.
It was then Surrey’s turn to bat and the visitors made 168/6 from 36.5 overs before play was called for the day. Left-arm spinner Briggs was the star with the ball for Sussex, taking 3 for 30 from nine overs, including the wicket of top-scorer Rory Burns for 47.
