Tuff Dogs Advance in Central County Cup

Tuff Dogs Win by 7 Wickets

North Village Community Cub 181 Tuff Dogs 182/3

At the Devonshire Recreation Club, the 2016 Central County competition got underway with a playoff between North Village and Tuff Dogs.

North Village batted first and were bowled all out for 181, with 50 of those runs coming in wides. Khori Smith was the top scorer with 48, while Allen Walker added 34. Trevor Corday led the Tuff Dogs bowling attack with figures of 9.2-1-34-5, while Terrence Corday had figures of 8-0-35-2.

In reply Tuff Dogs scored 182/3, with Azeem Khan the top scorer with 94 not out, Dunfred Davis added 28, but the talk once again centers around the wides with 23 of them. Rudy Smith was the pick of the North Village bowlers with figures of 4.2-0-28-1.

FIRST DIVISION

St. George’s Cricket Club Win by 7 Wickets

Somerset Bridge 140/5 St. George’s Cricket Club 141/3

At the Wellington Oval this match was reduced to 28 overs, St. George’s won the toss and invited Somerset Bridge to bat, they restricted them to 140/5 in their 28 overs, Jermaine Nesbitt was the top scorer with 36, while Shawn Riley added 25, Isaiah Greaves was the pick of the St. George’s Cricket Club bowlers with figures of 6-0-31-3.

In reply St. George’s Cricket Club scored 141/3 in 24.1 overs, Chris Foggo was the top scorer with 60, with Detroy Smith adding 29. Toleair Caines was the pick of the Somerset Bridge bowlers with figures of 4.1-0-23-2, while Jermaine Salaam bowled 6-0-24-2.
