Bermuda Cricket Board’s CEO Neil Speight will take part as the ICC Board gather at the ICC headquarters in Dubai on Thursday, February 4th, for the first round of meetings of 2016.
In the lead up to these meetings, various other committee meetings, including the ICC Chief Executives’ Committee (CEC) meeting, will take place. Speight is the member of the ICC Development Committee, he also sits on the ICC HR & Remuneration Committee.
A few things Cricket Clubs and the Bermuda Cricket Board should be interested in is the discussion to be had on the supposed to be suspended USACA and ICC initiatives in the USA as well as a progress on Cricket’s potential participation in the Olympic and Commonwealth Games.
The schedule includes the following meetings:
- ICC Chief Executives’ Committee (Mon) - HR & Remuneration Committee and Governance Committee (Tue) - Finance & Commercial Affairs Committee and Executive Committee (Wed) - ICC, IDI and IBC Board meetings (Thu) Key issues on the agenda of the meetings will include:
• Review of ICC Constitutional Amendments • Structure and scheduling of bi-lateral cricket • Cricket’s potential participation in the Olympic and Commonwealth Games • Update on the ICC WT20 India 2016, including playing conditions and prize money • Composition of ICC Cricket Committee • Updates on USACA and ICC initiatives in the USA • Updates on matters relating to anti-corruption and anti-doping
