The Eastern County Cricket Association Discipline Committee met and held hearings as a result of several charges brought by the Umpires against 5 players from Cleveland County during the 1st Round of the Eastern County 2015 Series played on July 18th.
At Lord’s in St. David’s the match between Champions Cleveland County Cricket Club and Challengers Bailey’s Bay Cricket Club on the day ended with the scores tied.
Earlier this week the Eastern County Cricket Association released a statement which read, “An emergency meeting of the Associates in which the Game Manager’s Report was presented for consideration was held on July 19th. As a result, a motion was presented and the resultant vote was to award Bailey’s Bay Cricket Club the Eastern County Trophy”.
All the players facing charges were Cleveland County players and the outcomes of the Disciplinary results are detailed below:
Dion Stovell – One Level 1 Offence – Showing Dissent at an Umpire’s Decision - Issued an Official Reprimand
Jason Anderson – One Level 1 Offence – Showing Dissent at an Umpire’s Decision - Issued an Official Reprimand
Allan Douglas Jr – One Level 1 Offence – Failure to control his players - Issued an Official Reprimand
Dennis Musson Jr – One Level 2 Offence – Showing serious Dissent at an Umpire’s Decision - Issued One (1) County Game Ban
Allan Douglas Jr – Two Level 2 Offences – Showing serious Dissent at an Umpire’s Decision (2 counts) - Issued Two (2) County Games Ban
Shaki Darrell – Two Level 4 Offences (One reduced to a Level 3 Offence) – Threats to Umpire(s) - Issued Fourteen (14) County Games Ban
