There was a buzz around the St. George’s Cricket Club, when Kavon Fubler from Willow Cuts trained with the St. George’s Cricket Club Cup Match team.
Fubler who’s father played for Somerset in the Annual Classic, will be looking to follow Treadwell Gibbons Jr. of late, Gibbons father played for the West End team in 1996 and 1997, while Fubler’s father played from 1995 – 1998.
St. George’s can use the left arm bowler who has hand a steady season, Fubler has scored 83 runs in four 50 over matches with his highest score being 37 an average of 20.75.
But it’s with his bowling the reason behind St. George’s extending the invitation, Fubler leads the 50 over League with the most wickets by the BCB Stats with 8 off 25 overs giving up 172 runs.
It will all come down to Saturday during the Final Trial to see if in fact the St. George’s Selectors find a spot for Fubler.
