Christian Burgess and five other ICC Americas Associate players selected to try-out for the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) have all now left Barbados were they had a final Training Camp with Tom Evans the ICC Americas High Performance Consultant.
American, Steven Taylor along with Burgess, were joined by four Canadian cricketers, Nitish Kumar, Nikhil Dutta, Satsimranjit Dhindsa and Farhan Malik were put through their paces with training and games.
The ICC Americas players will now head to their allocated CPL franchises, for a pre-tournament training camp, with Burgess assigned to the St Lucia Zouks franchise for this season’s Caribbean Premier League.
Burgess will spend a week training alongside the likes of Kevin Pietersen and Darren Sammy.
Pietersen and Sammy are two of the four players that St Lucia chose to retain from last season.
