Christian Burgess and his Sleaford Cricket Club 1st XI teammates opened their Lincolnshire County Board Premier League Season with a win over Market Deeping Cricket Club.
Market Deeping won the toss and elected to field, Sleaford scored 265/6 after 50 overs, Burgess batting at number 5 was out without scoring facing two balls before being caught by Ali Sharp off the bowling of Emile Kriek. Burgess’ opening bat teammate Timothy McIntosh scored 148 not out batting through the inning.
Sleaford then bowled Market Deeping all out for 114 in 30.2 overs, with Burgess holding on to two catches behind the stumps.
