The Bermuda Cricket Board confirmed that the Bermuda Cricket Umpire’s Association (BCUA) is offering a FREE Beginner’s Umpire Course. The course will start on Wednesday March 11th and will run every Wednesday for eight weeks at the Bermuda Cricket Board from 6pm-7.30pm.
This course is open to everyone, you do not need any cricket playing experience to take this course.
The course facilitator is Roger Dill who comes with a wealth of experience including the following highlights from his international resume:
• Dill gained international acclaim in May 2006 when he became the first ever Associate Umpire to officiate a game involving a Full Member (Zimbabwe v Canada). o Later in 2006 Roger was invited to umpire an ODI between England and Ireland. o Roger umpired for 25 ODI matches including England, West Indies, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe and 11 ICC Intercontinental Cups (4-day) matches. o Roger officiated at the U19 World Cup in Sri Lanka in 2006 and Malaysia in 2008.
