The Americas Regional Men’s Division 2 competition in Florida continued with two Bermuda Cricket Umpire Association stalwarts playing key roles.
Roger Dill is performing the Tournament Referee role and Steven Douglas, is one of the Official Umpires.
Douglas served as the third umpire in the morning match between Bahamas and Suriname, which saw Suriname win the toss and elected to bat, they scored 142/4 in their allotted 20 overs. Bahamas could only manage 88 runs with Suriname winning by 54 runs to remain unbeaten.
In the second game at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium, Douglas was joined by Charlie Taylor in the middle for the Cayman Islands against Suriname match.
Suriname won the toss and elected to bat, they scored 103/9 in their 20 overs, Douglas and Taylor had to rule on three run outs and one LBW decision in the Suriname inning.
Cayman Islands could only manage 88/6 in their 20 overs, with Suriname winning by 15 runs.
