Bremar Jr. Chivas Sportsman of the Week

IslandStats.com
The Bermuda Cricket Board (BCB) and Chivas Regal, the leader in quality blended scotch, are delighted to announce the winner of the weekly Chivas Cricket Sportsman Award (CCSA). The winner of the award for week 2 is Steven Bremar Jr. of Devonshire Recreation Club.

On Sunday, June 1, 2014, during the match between Western Stars Sports Club and Devonshire Recreation Club, while batting, Western Stars Captain, Nyon Steede, played at a ball and missed. The ball hit the wicketkeeper’s gloves and landed close to the stumps but the stumps were not in danger of being hit. Steede knocked the ball away with his bat and several Devonshire Recreation players appealed for an “Out” by Obstruction. Bremar in his capacity as Captain immediately withdrew the appeal and made the comment “We don’t play Cricket like that”, much to the chagrin of his team.

The Chivas motto is ‘Live with Chivalry,’ and cricket is renowned for being a gentleman’s sport.

Only the best for the best, Chivas 18 is a uniquely rich and multi-layered blend that includes over twenty of Scotland's rarest single malt Scotch whiskies.
