The Bermuda Football Association’s Under 18 Appleby Youth League got underway with a double-header at the National Sports Center North Field, which produced 11 goals in total.
Vasco 3 Devonshire Colts 1
In the opener, Vasco defeated the Devonshire Colts 3 - 1.
After a scoreless first half, Vasco took the lead in the 51st minute through a Tai Cedenio strike, one minute later it was 2 - 0 with Sinai Simons finding the net. In the 71st minute Simons would make it 3 - 0, before Khymai Richards pulled a goal back for the Devonshire Colts in the 81st minute.
PHC Zebras 4 Warwick Football Academy 3
In the nightcap, the PHC Zebras came from 2 - 0 down to edge the Warwick Football Academy 4 - 3.
Warwick Football Academy took the lead in the 8th minute when Jah'Zion Taylor scored, Samuel Carolo doubled the lead for the Warwick Football Academy in the 21st minute. Ravi Simmons pulled a goal back for the PHC Zebras in the 35th minute and then on the stroke of half-time, Simmons would draw the PHC Zebras level at 2 - 2.
The PHC Zebras would go ahead in the 71st minute when Ismail Ali found the back of th net, six minutes later Ali would score his second goal of the match to give the PHC Zebras a 4 - 2 lead, but in the 80th minute Taylor pulled a goal back for the Warwick Football Academy, to make it 4 - 3, but time ran out on them looking for the equalizer.
