A rocket from Clay Darrell with 1:15 remaining in sudden-death overtime earned the Royal a 6 – 5 win over the previously undefeated Kings.
The Royal had taken a 4 – 1 lead in the second period, but the Kings fought back to take the lead early in the 4th period and the Royal got the equalizer to send the game into sudden-death overtime, this is where Darrell beat his marker and fired a right footed shot that flew pass Troy Hall in goal for the Kings.
The Royal got three goals from Darin Dowling, two from Darrell and one from Jelani Butterfield, while the KingsRui Furtado and single strikes from Cud-Joe Matthews and Chris Anderson.
Union 6 Arsenal 5
The Union kept the slim playoff hopes alive when they defeated Arsenal 6 – 5, Keemo Smith found the net twice, while Blenn Bean, Ricky Saltus, Lashun Dill and Jason Furbert all added a goal each, while Fabien Furbert scored twice for Arsenal, while Michael Parsons, Ralph Bean Jr. and Cecoy Robinson scored a goal each.
