This FA Cup Final will see one of these teams raising the FA Challenge Cup for the first time. After see-saw play the game’s first goal came in the 42nd minute when a right footed shot from outside the box from Somerset Eagles striker Antwan Russell saw Ricardo Brangman in goal for Devonshire Cougars dive to his right to make the save but the rebound was put away by Keishen Bean. Three minutes later it was 2 – 0, a Darrin Dowling cross was controlled by Troy Tucker who played a give and go with Russell and Tucker slotted the ball pass an advancing Brangman.
Early in the second half Kwame Steede pulled a goal back for the Devonshire Cougars when he scored from a Korvon Tucker cross. A long ball forward in injury time from the halfway line from Devonshire Cougars defender Darius Cox saw Somerset Eagles goalkeeper Marcel Dill collide with Domico Coddington and the ball ended up into the net. The referee had blown the final whistle sending the game into extra time.
Extras Time
Neither team could break the deadlock as they start the second half of extra time still level at 2 – 2. With no goals in the second period of extra time will see the match decided by kicks from the penalty mark.
