Whitney Win Middle School Girls Title
|
The Whitney Institute won the Middle School Girls Six-A-Side Tournament at Shelly Bay after beating Sandys Secondary Middle School 2 - 1 on penalties.
The Final finished in a thrilling action packed 0 - 0 draw, neither school could not convert during the first two rounds of spot kicks.
Deshae Darrell scored for Sandys with her team’s third spot kick before Jahzyiah Samuels equalized for Whitney. Whitney keeper Chyna Young then scored what would be the deciding goal before saving Sandys final effort.
In the Semi-Finals, Sandys defeated Saltus 1 - 0 getting a goal from Dazhja Greaves, while Jade Stewart scored the lone goal in Whitney’s 1 - 0 Semi-Final victory over T.N. Tatem

BSSF Girls Six-A-Side Round Up
|
Berkeley Green won the 2011 Bermuda School Sports Federation Senior School Girls six a side tournament after finishing the round robin tournament win three wins and two draws.
They were led by the attacking trio of Jazmine Simmons, Precious Smith and Rayni Maybury. CedarBridge Red were runners up in the six team tournament finishing with three wins, a draw and a loss to the winners.

BSSF Boy's Six-A-Side Round Up
|
Saltus Grammar School and CedarBridge Academy both went undefeated on their way to winning the Bermuda School Sports Federation Senior School Boys Under 16 and Over 16 six a side competition.
Saltus got two goals from Nigel Williams in the final to defeat Berkeley Gold 2-1. Williams scored in the first and last minute of the first half. Berkeley scored a late consolation goal in the dying moments of the game through Jah Kaya Stewart.
Saltus defeated Berkeley Green in the Semi-Finals from the penalty spot after the game finished 0-0. Saltus keeper Brandon Ray was the hero saving three spot kicks. Berkeley Gold also won their Semi-Final match on penalties after a 1-1 draw with CedarBridge Blue. Amari Curtis equalized for Berkeley in the second half after Quinn Simons had given CedarBridge the lead.
CedarBridge Blue was also undefeated in the Over 16 Division coming from behind in the final to earn their title. Berkeley Green’s Hubert Butterfield scored in the first minute of the game shocking the favorites. CedarBridge collected themselves and pressed for the equalizer which they got in the second half through Shanouda Outerbridge. CedarBridge pressed for a winner but the game ended 1-1 and yet another close game had to be decided from the penalty spot. CedarBridge’s goalkeeper came up big by saving three spot kicks while scoring one himself. CedarBridge defeated Berkeley Gold in the Semi-Final 4-0 with goals from Outerbridge, Caldre Burgess, London Roberts and Trey Bean. Berkeley reached the final after Butterfield scored twice to give his team a 2-0 victory over CedarBridge Red.

West Pembroke win KO Final
|
West Pembroke won the Primary School Football Knock Out Final with an emphatic 8 - 1 victory over Elliot Primary. West Pembroke played with great confidence and skill in scoring six unanswered first half goals. Elliot played a much better second half and created a few chances but were denied by brave goalkeeping and poor finishing.
Finals MVP Tahje Smith led the way for West Pembroke with four goals. K’zhai Bailey scored two, while Edry Moore and Shaquan Sampson scored one each. Hard working Kiari Shareiff Hayward was Elliot’s MVP. Elliot scored through Diari Hart.

BSSF All-Star Soccer Round Up

Primary School Boy’s
East 1 West 3
The West won the Primary Boys All-Star match 3 – 1, Chermal Henry from Harrington Sound gave East the lead early in the first half. Rahzir Jones from West Pembroke scored two goals for the West and Enrique Russell from Paget Primary scored the other to complete the comeback. East goalkeeper Andrew Kempe from Somersfield Academy was his team’s MVP along with Jones from the West.

Goals from Whitney's Jahziah Samuels and Clearwaters Jasmine Spence gave the East a 2 - 0 lead. Kennesha Nannette from Saltus pulled one back for the West with the last kick of the match as the East won 2 - 1. K'shaela Burch-Waldron from Whitney was East MVP, while Dominique Ford-Eve from the TN Tatem was the West MVP.

The East got two goals from their MVP Jaman Lottimore from the Whitney Institute as they defeated the West 3 – 1. Kervin Moreno from the Clearwater Middle School scored the other East goal, while Isaiah Robinson from the Bermuda Institute scored the lone goal for the West who had Amar Lewis from the Warwick Academy named MVP.
Senior School Girls

The West got a goal each from Akeyla Furbert from BHS and Khyla Brangman from Warwick Academy as they defeated the East 2 – 0. Furbert was voted the West MVP, while Kacee Morton-Simons from Saltus was the East MVP.

The West got a goal from Berkeley’s Lejuan Simmons and Joshua DeSilva as they defeated the East 2 – 0. Simmons was voted the West MVP, while Rakeem Deshields from Saltus was the East MVP.
