Bermuda Institute won the Middle School Title and Saltus Grammar took the top spot in the Primary Race at the Primary & Middle Schools Team Mountain Biking Championship at the Arboretum.
Fourteen Primary Schools and Four Middle Schools contested the races which were organized by the Bermuda Bicycle Association (BBA) and supported by the Bermuda Schools Sports Federation (BSSF).
Teams scored points for their top three finishers and those schools that sent big teams showed that numbers count.
In the Primary Division separate races were run for students in P1-3 and P4-6 with different courses to accommodate the range of abilities of the younger cyclists. Somersfield Academy finished second in the Division with Warwick Academy finishing third.
The Middle School race was won handily by Daniel Oatley of Saltus, his school only fielded two riders, keeping them from contending for the title. A deep Bermuda Institute team had riders finish 2nd, 5th and 10th to take the victory over Somersfield and Warwick Academy finished in third.

Primary School Field Hockey Round Up

Twenty four teams participated at the recent Bermuda School Sports Federation’s Primary School Field Hockey Tournament.
St. George's Preparatory won both Girls Divisions while Purvis Primary won the Boys A Division with Saltus winning the Boy’s B Division.
Saltus finished second in both Girls Divisions with Gilbert Institute finishing second in the Boy’s B Division and Warwick Academy finished runners up in the Boy’s A Division.

Warwick Academy & Whitney Institute are Champs
Warwick Academy won the Middle School Boys Hockey Tournament at the National Sports Center after defeating all of their rivals in the Round Robin tournament, Saltus Two finished as runners up, while Saltus One finished third.
Whitney Institute also won all of their matches in winning the Middle School Girls Hockey Tournament title. BHS, Warwick Academy and Saltus One all finished tied for second place with 5 points.

BSSF All-Star Weekend
The Bermuda School Sports Federation (BSSF) is looking for the community’s support for it’s Annual All Star Weekend this Friday and Saturday.
The festivities get underway on Friday when the BSSF will showcase it’s first ever All-Star volleyball matches at the Somersfield Academy Gymnasium.
The Senior School Girls will play at 4:00 followed by the Senior Boys at 5:00. All-Star netball will follow with the Senior school game at 6:00, Primary school at 7:00 and Middle school game at 8:00.
Admission is free for all of Friday’s matches. The scene shifts to the National Sports Centre on Saturday for the All-Star Football matches.
The day kicks off with the Primary School Boys game at 1:00, followed by the middle school girls at 2:30, middle school boys at 4:00, senior school girls at 5:30 and concluding with the senior school boys at 7:00. Admission for the football matches will be $10.00 for adults and free to all students.

BSSF Tennis Tournament Round Up

The Bermuda School Sports Federation held their Middle School Tennis Tournament at the WER Joell Tennis Stadium. Saltus finished one and two in the Boy’s Division, while Warwick Academy finished one and two in the Ladies Division. Courtland Boyle & Billy Boyle from Saltus emerged as winners, with Tanner Boyle & Charlie Keyes also from Saltus finished runners up, in the Ladies Division, Lindsay Fisher & Mallory Towlson from Warwick Academy won the title with Tiye Williams & Rio Morris also from Warwick Academy finished runner up.
