Sandy's Win Middle School Super 8's
|
Sandy’s Middle School defeated the Warwick Academy to win the Bermuda School Sports Federation’s Middle School Boys Super 8’s Cricket Tournament at the National Sports Center.
After the two teams went undefeated in the Division’s Warwick batted first in the Final and scored 64 runs with Alex Dore leading the way. Sandy’s easily reached their target scoring 65 in just under five overs. Christian Gibbons scored 27 not out while Chakote Basden score 28.
Sandy’s defeated Cleawater in the Semi-Final after again easily reaching their target of 60. Gibbons was top scorer with 24. Warwick Academy defeated Dellwood in the other Semi-Final. Warwick Academy batted first and scored 125 with Delray Rawlins scoring 34 and Dore 31, Warwick Academy then bowled Dellwood all out for 70.
