The Whitney Institute defeated league champions Saltus to advance to the Middle School Girls Knock Out Cup Final.
Whitney took the lead in the first minute through Jahzyiah Samuels. Saltus fought back and equalized through their top scorer, Kennesha Nannette. Whitney found the winner in the closing stages when Maya Palacio scored from the penalty spot after Saltus handled the ball in the box. Whitney will take on defending cup champions Sandys after they defeated T.N.Tatem 1-0 in a close match.
Saltus booked their passage to the Senior School Over 16 final with a 3 - 0 win over Warwick Academy. Rakeem Deshields scored two and Chikosi Basden scored one in the victory. They will face the winner of CedarBridge Academy and the Alternative School Alliance in the final.
Whitney came from two goals down to defeat league champions Dellwood Middle School in the under 13 semi finals. Dellwood took a two goal lead through Christian Albouy and Jordan Lambe. Whitney fought back and scored through Justin Bell and Tyejae Burchall. Neither team could find the winner in relegation. Whitney went on to win after a marathon penalty shootout. They will meet Sandys in the final after they defeated Clearwater Middle School 1 - 0. Jaden Ratteray Smith scored after he was sent clear on goal from a through ball from Haile Eve.
Under 16 league champions CedarBridge Academy knocked out Saltus 5 - 0 in a dominating victory. Chae Brangman and Caldre Burgess got two goals each with Quintino Lema scoring the other. They await the winner of Berkeley Institute and Warwick Academy in the final.
