Warwick Academy 1 Dellwood 1
Warwick Academy played a very strong Dellwood in Over 13 Boys Soccer action at the Warwick Academy School Field.
Dellwood and Warwick Academy were both undefeated up to this point so both teams had much to play for.
The match started brightly for Warwick Academy when Raushon Tankard, playing up front to fired in a thunderous shot, leaving the Dellwood keeper no chance to make teh save as Warwick Academy took the lead 1 – 0.
Both teams continued to battle for every lost possession, but Warwick Academy looked more composed, even though they gave the ball away far too easily.
Dellwood were frustrated and clearly did not like being behind. The half ended with Warwick Academy still leading 1 - 0.
In the second half Warwick Academy made a few adjustments and were looking for that second goal, but it just would not go in.
Dellwood never gave up and were doing everything possible to find that equalizer and they did mid way through the second half. Warwick Academy kept their focus, however, and continued pressing.
In the last 5 minutes Warwick Academy had several open or one on one chances to finish the game off, but it was not to be and the game ended locked at one goal each.
